ABOUT

I am an aspiring clinical psychologist striving to expand the accessibility of mental health care resources and eventually serve communities with holistic and compassionate treatment options.

Studying at the California State University, Sacramento with a minor in communication and business administration, I hope to expand upon my knowledge and utilize my leadership skills to ultimately pursue my passions in the realm of professional athletics. 

PAST EXPERIENCE

STAFF WRITER AND REPORTER, INSIDE FULLERTON

* Collaborated with journalism students, magazine staff, and editors in finalizing formatting and structure of the Inside Fullerton magazine summer edition of 2018

 

* Reported and composed informational piece on gentrification in Highland Park, Los Angeles, CA - filmed and edited short supplemental film piece detailing story with contextual on-camera interviewing;  story published through Inside Fullerton magazine in May 2018 

PARENT EDUCATION VOLUNTEER, SACRAMENTO FOOD BANK & FAMILY SERVICES

* Assisted in the design and presentation of education curriculums focused on family support, health, nutrition, stress management, and involvement groups for immigrant and refugee families.

INDEPENDENT SOCIOLOGY RESEARCHER, CALIFORNIA NORTHSTATE UNIVERSITY

* Assisted in data input for cross-sectional research on micro-level homelessness in the Sacramento County region for the Family Promise of Sacramento.

* Conducted longitudinal research proposal on sociological impacts of Senate Bill 1152 from the institutional healthcare perspective within Sacramento County.
